R-134a
Technical overview
R134a refrigerant for compatible A/C and refrigeration systems
R134a is a single-component HFC refrigerant used in compatible automotive air conditioning and selected refrigeration equipment. Choose it only where the vehicle or equipment label specifies R134a. Newer and older systems may use other refrigerants, so model year alone is not a reliable way to select the correct product.

Service considerations
The correct charge amount comes from the system specification, not cylinder capacity. Professional service should follow the relevant equipment instructions and avoid contamination between refrigerants.
Compatibility & handlingDo not use R134a in a system specified for R1234yf, R152a or another refrigerant. A cylinder of refrigerant is not automatically a complete charging kit; confirm any accessories separately.
